I’m pleased to announce that there are two new gardening blogs from fellow gardeners in Chatham, New Jersey:
Marta McDowell, “a blog about digging in the dirt, growing flowers and vegetables, garden history, horticulture and nature.”
Visual Thinking in a Fairmount Garden, “A textile designer among the weeds of her mind.”

Is Chatham New Jersey a big garden community? I know your probably one of the nicest places to live if you have to commute to NY.>>Patsi

Patsi,>>NJ Monthly actually named Chatham the best place to live in NJ for 2008! I’m not sure what qualifies as a “big garden community” but we certainly have several high quality nurseries in the area that support a lot of gardeners. Further, local places like Reeves Reed in Summit also attracts people who like gardening. Where in NJ do you live?>>-Heirloom Gardener

I’m honored. Perhaps geology is destiny, and Chatham has so much of that.
