Clematis x triternata ‘Rubromarginata’ on the fence in the Children’s Garden

This clematis, Rubromarginata, may win the contest for the greatest growth in a single season, covering more than an eight foot section of the fence.

  1. Man I would love to see your garden. Have you ever had clematis to just break off in the middle and die off?
I know the stems are thin and I keep something shading the roots all the time. I think I have a good one going and first thing I know I see dead leaves and stems.
